Today we had a call out to 2 bearded dragons rescued from the south west that had been kept together for five years
Without even seeing them we had a gut feeling they would have MBD and would have big health issues
We will never name and shame anyone when it comes to rescues as our main concern is the dragon
So this lovely couple from Birmingham sent us a message about a pair of dragons they had rescued and when we saw the email with pictures we knew we had to go and see the dragons and give critical care medication, After seeing the female we could see she was carrying eggs and we dont think she will be to far off laying them.
As can be seen she is a little bit on the big size and not eating and drinking
The male was a skinny little thing and again not eating or drinking
Within 2 hours we was on the road with 60% of the reptile ambulance kit as we still have lots to buy
Advice was given and followed up email sent as soon as back home
Today 22/8/24 we have got some good news that the female is now starting to drink.
This is great news and we hope that both get better really soon
